Warlord of Chaos - Chapter 76

“Do you want to practice it again?” Sunier asked.

“No.

It’s enough today.

I must have made some mistakes.

” Han Jin frowned, “If I can’t figure it out, it is no use no matter how many times we practice.

” “I can hold on.

” Moxinke added unnecessarily to show off his strong and tenacious physique, though he finally felt relieved when Han Jin said this.

“Oh? Then…” Han Jin looked active again.

“But it’s time for dinner!” Moxinke shouted immediately.

He wanted to slap himself for his long-tongue, “You must be hungry too, aren’t you?” “I am not hungry.

” Cessacioun laughed in a cheeky manner, “Nothing is more important than practice.

Raphael, you have figured it out, haven’t you?” “Bastard! I know you are the worst!” Moxinke roared.

“Stop arguing! Look, what’s over there?” Sunier suddenly interrupted them.

They all looked at the direction which Sunier was pointingat.

A strip of black line was zigzagging toward them from distance with dozens of flags fluttering in the wind.

It was apparently not a trade caravan, but a large regular army.

They could befrom Beitman judged by their moving direction.

“An army?” Moxinke knitted his brows.

.

.

.

“An army who has smelt the bloody odor.

” Han Jin added.

“Bloody odor? What do you mean?” Sunier asked in astonishment.

“Beitman has put forward verbal protest for a long time, but never resorted to practical action.

Why? Because it didn’t want to be involved in the tangled warfare.

” Han Jin paused, “But now… If I am right, the outcome of the war between the Black Raven City and the Holy Crown City has been determined.

So Beitman can’t restrain itself anymore.

” Sunier cast a deep glance at Han Jin.

No matter his analysis was right or not, it had proved something.

COM “In your opinion, can the Beitman troop take advantage from it?” “I don’t know war.

But I know that a sword will rust if not sharpened.

” Han Jin smiled, “How long has it been since Beitman participated in a war last time?” “This is not the most important thing, is it?” Sunier said slowly.

“If this is not important, then what else?” Han Jin smiled, “Zaganide, the owner of Black Raven City, is a man hated by many.

There must be a lot of people who want to kill him, but why is he still alive, lives well till today under the hatred, hostility, fear, and loathing from others? What a rare ability he has that makes him so powerful andcan keep killing and looting.

Can you deny the fact that he must be possessed with an army of elites?” “The army of Black Raven City… is really scary.

” Sunier’s face turned pale, apparently she had recalled her days during the guerrilla warfare.

“By the way, Sunier, I rememberthe first time we met you, you were surrounded by a group of black ravens.

” Han Jin paused, “Did you… attack their troops?” “I went there to look for a friend.

” She sighed.

“A friend?” Han Jin was confused.

Weren’tthe subordinates of Zaganide a group of nefarious people? Why would Sunier have a friend there? “It can’t be explained in simple words.

I will tell you later.

” Sunier replied in a low tone.

“Well.

” Han Jin stopped asking since she had no mood to answer him.

*** At dusk, an army transporting military supplies settled down near the village.

They had no intention to harass the villagers nearby and just set up their camps on the roadside field.

Sunier and Moxinke had been watching them during the whole afternoon and didn’t go back until they were sure this army hadn’t aroused disturbances.

They were not too suspicious in doing this.

In the eyes of the villagers, the group of professionals were rich people who acted very generously when purchasing wheat, mountain products and the like from the farmers.

They didn’t want to bargain with those poor farmers, nor did they have other things except golden coins to exchange for those goods.

However, richness entails danger.

It would be a great trouble if the soldiers knew that there lived a group of rich people in the village.

Constant fleeing from one city to another might have not improved their strength very much, but had taught them how sinister human heart was.

Han Jin paced back and forth in his room, wondering why his Spirit Possession Operation would make him lose consciousness.

It shouldn’t be like this! The charm was absolutely right, the same was his mental cultivation method.

He had read the three classical books of Taoism collected by his teacher many times, and had once performed the Spirit Possession Operation in his former world successfully.

It caused no negative effect except a certain extent of fatigue.

Could it be caused by… the difference between the two worlds? Han Jin set his mind to research this art because it could bring them great benefits in terms of their overall strength.

Though it was just a simple art of Taoism, it was totally different from what Cessacioun had called “Wild Magic”.

The latter only improved the operator’s physical strength, benumbed his nerves, and led him into an extremely irritable and aggressive status.

While the former not only improved one’s physical strength, but also his observant eyesight and rapid speed.

A qualified operator of this art could produce a kind of impenetrable defensive ability similar to armor lock and iron skin.

The rumor that the operator was invulnerable to either blade or gun was not just nonsense.

What’s more, it only needed a little energy to make such a charm of Spirit Possession Operation, as little as that for a Spirit Refreshment charm, but could produce much greater result.

If they could avail themselves of this art, how powerful they would become? Imagine that Cessaciounrushed into their enemies fiercely with his magic wand being wielded in an overwhelming momentum.

Each enemy came close to him would fall down, dead… The strength of Sunier was also doubled.

If she had a bow large enough, she could take a tree as her arrow.

As for Moxinke, Han Jin was sure this sturdy fellow would love the feeling.

But, all of these were established on one premise, that was to solve the problem of losing consciousness.

Han Jin devoted himself into this question nervously without even noticing the passing of time.

A long time later, a slight noise came from outside.

He happened to be standing at the door and pushed it open without thinking.

What appeared in front of him was a pair of murderous eyes, filled with despair and resentment.

And the next moment, a cold light thrust toward his throat straightly.
