Chapter 1225 – Song Lingrui  One had to admit, Xie Yufeng was quite good at hitting on girls- with one word, he closed the gap between the two by saying that the both of them were practitioners.

Now they had a common topic! The reason why he failed so much at school was because all the girls already had someone in their mind- that was why they were so cold towards him!  But Yufeng didn’t know that Lingshan, herself, also had someone in mind!  “Put it there then, I’ll eat it later,” Lingshan said, basically telling him get out in a roundabout way.

She couldn’t just tell him to leave, since this was House Yu they were talking about.

If possible, they shouldn’t piss them off at all!  “Let’s eat it now- it’ll get cold later,” With that, Yufeng took out one lunch box and put it on Lingshan’s table, smiling, “Grandpa Song told me to take care of you- if you’re not eating then it’ll be hard for me… I’d have to call him and apologize!”  Seeing Yufeng actually taking his phone out, Lingshan was really getting pissed- this guy was using some random thing to call his grandfather? Lingshan couldn’t interrupt him with such a minor thing, and so she took the lunch box helplessly, “Fine, I’ll eat first!”  “That’s great!” Yufeng smiled, putting away his phone and taking out the other lunch box, sitting across her.

 Looking at the Yufeng sitting across from her, she felt that the air was a bit weird- it made her uncomfortable, and so she looked at the case files while eating, not giving him a chance to make conversation.

 “Why don’t you rest while eating? You can’t work all the time, right?” Yufeng said.

COM  “No time, there’s a case,” Lingshan said flatly.

 “What case? Tell me about it, I can help analyze it.

Two people thinking is faster than one, right? There’s a saying that three shoesmiths working together can beat the strategy master, Zhu Geliang, no?”  “Sorry, confidential,” Lingshan naturally wouldn’t give him any chance.

 “That’s…” Yufeng didn’t know what to say, despite feeling troubled.

He couldn’t just keep asking about something confidential.

 After finishing the lunch box, Lingshan pushed it aside and started going into her files again.

Yufeng sat across her for a bit more, and felt that nothing was going on.

He stood up with his lunch boxes, “Alright, Lingshan, you work first- I’ll come see you tomorrow!”  “I won’t be here tomorrow, going to Donghai,” Lingshan was going to go in the morning and get back early, but decided to go in the afternoon to avoid Yufeng after what he said.

 She needed to go see Huaijun and let him look at the cases, see what ideas he had and analyze them together.

Not only was he her mentor, he was also her brother figure, and the vice director of the main branch of criminal police! It was natural for her to find him for work issues.

 It would make her look a little incapable, but she didn’t mind.

She was someone he brought up in the first place, why would it be embarrassing for her to ask him for advice? He’d been in Donghai this past while, having been assigned to a case there.

 She had to go there for him.

 “I see, are you driving there? I have a car here, I can fetch you- it’s a limited edition Lamborghini!” Yufeng said.

 “I have a car, I’m going there for work- what’s with you fetching me?” Lingshan was speechless- this idiot wanted her to go in a lambo? Wouldn’t people say that she was taking bribes or was corrupt?  Seeing that direct rejection, Yufeng had no choice but to leave.

Lingshan only shook her head as he left- this person sure was annoying, even bringing out her grandpa’s name.

What was she supposed to do if he came every day?  The phone rang- it was an unknown number.

 She thought that it was Yufeng calling, and didn’t want to pick up, but what if it weren’t? After all, plenty of unknown numbers called her all the time, some of which had to do with her cases.

 “Hello, I am Song Lingshan!” Lingshan picked up.

 “Sis?” A pleasant voice sounded.

 “Rui?” Lingshan paused, “It’s you? I thought you couldn’t call when in special training?”  It was her sister, Song Lingrui.

She went into special training a few years ago, and could only call back every year.

Otherwise, it was all silence from her! This was a pleasant surprise indeed.

COM  “Hehe, sis, I’m about to be free soon! This is the fourth year of the training, and I’ve received the medal of bravery with flying colors!” Lingrui smiled happily.

 Lingshan counted the time on her fingers- time had flown by, Lingrui was about to finish the training already! That little girl who cried all the time- she had a medal of bravery now! Lingshan was getting emotional.

 Four years ago, in order to keep House Song from falling, grandpa Song decided to send Lingrui to the harshest and cruelest training camp.

To think that crying, weak sister of hers now held the highest, honored medal!  “Congratulations, Rui!” Lingshan said happily, “Then what are your plans? Do you want to continue training there or come back?”  “Don’t talk about me first, I called grandpa- he said you have a boyfriend now, sis?” Lingrui said.

 “Boyfriend?” Lingshan’s face darkened, “You’re talking about House Yu’s Yu Feng, right?? I don’t like him!”  There wasn’t any need to hide her feelings in front of her sister.

 “Ah? Seriously? Sis, I heard that this Yu Feng is already a Mystic mid phase peak eventhough he’s so young- he’s a great candidate, he fits your criteria, too! Grandpa did say you’re really strong now too, Golden class late phase peak, so didn’t you want a boyfriend stronger than you?” Lingrui was confused- her sis didn’t seem to like him?
